When you hear the phrase, Butte County General Plan 2030, we want you to know that this means the complete 3 fold project which is 1) A comprehensive update to the General Plan, 2) A completely new Zoning Ordinance, and 3) the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to support both projects.  You can get a sense of the Project Tasks and Meeting Series here.

This is the place where you can keep track of all of the happenings with this exciting, community process.  We've moved beyond 'Charting the Course' as we have now 'Set Sail' and are over 1/2 way to our destination (GP 2030 Progress Chart).

Commitment:  We have a dedicated & committed staff, a quality team of Consultants (lead consultant DC&E), a talented & diverse Citizens Advisory Committee and a plan/timeline for success.

Success:  The goal is to develop a new General Plan and Zoning Ordinance, consistent with the County's approved Guiding Principles, that accurately reflects the diversity of Butte County AND casts a vision for our future through the year 2030.  A good way to check our progress is to view our work products.

Tips for Finding Things:  The one place on this site to check to find out what is going on and what has happened is in the eBinder.  It is our chronology (of our journey) of all documents prepared to date and presentations provided.  It includes links to videos of important meetings.  Still can't find what you're looking for?  Try our Google Search Engine.

Have a question?  That's great, others probably are thinking the same thing as you, so please ask us right here.
