Butte County
General Plan Update - Status Report |
Hello everyone:
Some new information has been posted on the Butte County General Plan website at http://www.buttegeneralplan.net :
1) At the last meeting of the Board of Supervisors on June 13, 2006, the Board directed staff to streamline the DRAFT Framework of Guiding Principles and return for more discussion and direction at a Special Meeting of the Board on June 28, 2006 at 9:00 am. It is important for everyone to understand that honest/direct/open discussions are at the heart of a quality General Plan update. Please don’t misinterpret these discussions as a lack of support for our efforts to be successful in updating the County’s General Plan/Zoning Ordinance. The Board, the CAO and County staff are very committed to working with the public and our future consultant on successfully creating our county’s new vision (General Plan). You’re all invited to attend the next public meeting at the Board Chambers in Oroville (25 County Center Drive).
2) The application for the Citizens Advisory Committee is posted on the website. If you would like one faxed or mailed to you, please call Kim McMillan at 530-538-6571. The deadline for submission is August 1, 2006.
3) In an effort to facilitate consultant responses to our RFP for the General Plan/Zoning Ordinance Update, we will be holding a Question/Answer meeting on June 29, 2006, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Butte County Human Resources Training Room, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville. As a reminder, all proposals are due by July 21, 2006.
