Hi
everyone:
I wanted
to remind each of you of a few important things
going on with Butte County General Plan 2030:
1)
Meeting Series #1 begins Thursday, March 15th from 6
to 9 pm at the Southside Center in Oroville. The
meeting agenda will focus on 'Existing Conditions
and Issue Identification'. For more information
about this meeting series (and others that will
follow), you can visit
http://www.buttegeneralplan.net/tasks today.
For the latest copy of the Agenda and a map on how
to get there, please visit
http://www.buttegeneralplan.net.
2) At
this first Public Workshop, each attendee will
receive their very own, newly released copy of the
Butte County General Plan Briefing Book. To view
the PDF, you can visit
http://www.buttegeneralplan.net for a 'sneak
preview'. This important resource is intended to
provide summary information about the existing
conditions within Butte County, from a '75,000 foot
view'. I'll explain more at the meeting.
3) This
Public Meeting will be followed by a Citizens
Advisory Committee meeting two weeks later at Butte
College from 5 to 9 pm on March 29th. The agenda
will soon be posted on our website.
4) We
have officially launched our new Web Discussion
Forum. To register and review/post your
thoughts/comments, please visit
http://www.buttegeneralplan.net/forum.asp
today.
We really
do want to hear from you so make sure to make use of
the variety of opportunities presented, whether its
attending a meeting, sending us an email, entering
your thoughts on the Web Discussion Forum or
stopping by the office for a visit. Thanks for
helping us to develop Butte General Plan 2030.
