2) June 5, 2008 Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting on General Plan 2030 Organization

A June 5 special meeting of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) has been scheduled to take place at the Bell Memorial Union at Chico State University, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The meeting will include guest speakers from the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research on the State’s General Plan Guidelines, and from Sonoma County, a jurisdiction that recently approved a Water Resources Element. Joanna Jansen from the County’s General Plan Consultant, Design, Community & Environment will also present information and ideas about General Plan organization for consideration by the CAC. The goal of this meeting is to help develop a working draft outline for overall organization of Butte County’s General Plan 2030 document, including the identification of optional elements. This working draft outline will help organize policy into mandatory and optional elements during Meeting Series 5 devoted to Goals and Policy Development, scheduled to begin after the conclusion of Meeting Series 4.

For the most up to the minute information about Workshop Series 4 (and other announcements), please visit http://www.buttegeneralplan.net today. If you have any questions, feel free to email Dan Breedon at dbreedon@buttecounty.net.

We look forward to seeing you soon, Tim
