Hi everyone:
1) For those of you who have
access to Community Access Channel 11, the first two
Planning Commission (PC) Study Sessions that are
devoted to the Planning Commission’s evaluation and
selection of a preferred land use alterative for the
Butte County General Plan 2030 process will be
broadcast at the following times:

Session #1 will be broadcast on Friday, June 6 at

The May 30, 2008 PC Study

The first Study Session was an
informational meeting that was devoted to public
input, a presentation and overview on Butte County
General Plan 2030, the Alternatives Evaluation
Report, and presenting information on the Citizens
Advisory Committee’s voting outcomes. The second
Study Session included the Planning Commission’s
recommendations on Study Areas in the Paradise and
Oroville areas. You can view the results of their
actions at

Citizens Advisory Committee to discuss the
organizational strategy for General Plan 2030.
The public is welcome to
attend and participate. This is the meeting where we
will explore the need for optional elements vs. a
consolidated strategy. We will attempt to learn from
the efforts in other California counties. The
meeting will begin at 4:45 pm with dinner. It is
being held at the California State University, Chico
in the Bell Memorial Union (BMU) building located on
2nd Street between Chestnut and Hazel. For an agenda
