The Butte County Planning Commission will hold a
special Study Session concerning the Selection of a
Preferred Land Use Alternative for Butte County
General Plan 2030. It will be held Friday, June 13,
2008. The Planning Commission will review Biggs and
Gridley Study Areas and North County Study Areas
including Chico and Durham.
This Study Session will start at 9:00 am and end
at approximately 4:30 pm and will take place at the
Butte County Board of Supervisors Chambers, 25
County Center Drive, Oroville. The Planning
Commission Study Sessions are open to the public who
are encouraged to come and speak to the Planning
Commission concerning the selection of a preferred
land use alternative.
This is a very important meeting, during which
the Planning Commission will weigh-in on the
Citizens Advisory Committee’s recommendations for
the preferred land use alternative, and all of the
public comment generated to date, and form their own
recommendations for consideration by the Butte
County Board of Supervisors.
During this meeting, the Planning Commission will
review the Citizens Advisory Committee’s
recommendations for a Preferred Land Use Alternative
as well as all of the public input received during
this process, and will make recommendations to the
Board of Supervisors on each of the Study Areas
listed below.
