was provided to the
Butte County Water Commission on the status of Butte
County General Plan 2030.
The Water Commission also formed a General Plan 2030
Goals and Policy Subcommittee of David Skinner,
Susan Strachan, and D. C. Jones. These
commissioners will be present at this Thursday’s
CAC meeting,
and will be pivotal in making policy recommendations
to the full commission and later to the Board.
Development Services staff will be working with them
and the Department of Water and Resource
Conservation as this process continues to ensure a
smooth dissemination of recommendations to the
Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors.
3. A
presentation
<1.8 meg PDF> was provided to the Chico
City Council at their Council Meeting regarding the
interrelationship of Butte County General Plan 2030
and the Chico General Plan Update. The County
and the City have opportunities to work together on
several specific areas around the city to plan for
future growth. Butte County General Plan 2030
Guiding Principle #1 is to encourage the County to
work together with each of the cities on cooperative
planning amongst jurisdictions. This is an
example of fulfilling this principle. |
