On April 14, 2009, at 9:00 am, the
Butte County Board of
Supervisors will hold a special meeting to review
DRAFT #2 of the Preferred Land Use Alternative
(PLUA)
General Plan 2030 Map. The focus of the
meeting will be to review corrections/modifications
to areas outside of the 31 previously reviewed Study
Areas. Purpose of
the Meeting: The Department of Development
Services will recommend to the Board of Supervisors that
they evaluate 12 landowner requests (received to
day, more are likely to be brought up at the meeting
by members of the public) and 30 recommendations
from staff to amend their proposed
General Plan land use designation as a part of the
Preferred Land Use Alternative.
Why? Many of these are corrections to the
current conflict between the existing General Plan
and existing Zoning designations...we are making
them consistent. Twenty nine properties
are to be added to a new designation called 'AS - Ag
Services'. Several additional parcels were
brought forward by property owners who identified
problems or are having their land use designation
eliminated. All of this information that has
been completed is listed in the various maps below.
For comparison purposes, one can compare
D_Preferred Land Use Alternative Map Draft #2, incl
proposed changes below
with
A8_Countywide_GPLU_11x17 below. Once this
Draft #2 map is
'finalized', work will begin on the EIR for Butte
County General Plan 2030.

information is provided for reference. These are DRAFT #1
Exhibits of the Preferred Land Use Alternative Maps showing
proposed General Plan Designations for ALL parcels in the
County. These maps allow you to zoom in and see what's
proposed in this DRAFT for your property. This is to be
considered a work in progress. Why? Since we've
eliminated the AR General Plan designation, a decision had to be
made about what to designate each parcel with a former AR
designation. Options are GOL, RR or FR. If you have
