Hello Everyone:
Draft Butte County General
Plan 2030 is now posted for public review at
www.buttegeneralplan.net.
You can download the entire general plan in one
document or chapter-by-chapter.
Butte County General Plan 2030 is driven by a
commitment of the Butte County Board of Supervisors
to comprehensively update the County’s long-range
planning for land use and development. For the next
20 years, Butte County General Plan 2030 will guide
planning for the 1,610 square miles of land in Butte
County. To date, the process has involved six
meeting series consisting of over 100 public
meetings and presentations. The hundreds of
hours of input, discussion, debate, and hard work
have produced a plan that is intended to be clear,
relevant, and effective; but also flexible enough
for the long term. Public review of Draft Butte
County General Plan 2030 is a major milestone in our
update process. We are now embarking on Workshop
Series 7 to accomplish this review.
The Public Workshop to kick off Workshop Series 7
will be September 17, 2009 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm
Location: The Energy Farm, 2015 Challenger Drive,
Oroville (near the Oroville Airport)

take place on the following dates:

All CAC meetings are open to the public and will
take place from 5:00 - 9:00 pm at the Butte College
Main Campus
Cafeteria, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, Oroville.
The Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission
will hold two all-day Special Study Sessions on
January 19 and 21, 2010 to consider all input on
Draft Butte County General Plan 2030. Both
meetings will take place in the
Board of Supervisors Chambers from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
at 25 County Center Drive, Oroville.
Your participation in this workshop series is
critical. We look forward to seeing you at the

Take care, Tim
