Hello Everyone:

A quick reminder about tonight’s meeting and other ways to connect with the Butte County General Plan 2030 review:

The first Public Workshop of Meeting Series 7, which is devoted to the review of the Draft General Plan 2030 document, will be held tonight September 17, 2009, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Energy Farm, 2015 Challenger Drive, Oroville. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided. This Public Workshop is the time for members of the public to become familiar with the Butte County General Plan 2030 Public Draft document and provide input to staff and decision-makers. Comments gathered at this meeting will be provided to the Citizens Advisory Committee as well as the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission.

The workshop will include presentations describing the Butte County General Plan 2030 process and an overview of the Butte County General Plan 2030 document. There will be a time for questions and answers, an informal period when members of the public may provide written comment cards and ask questions of staff, and a more formal public comment period during which General Plan consultant Design, Community & Environment will facilitate input from the public.

We are also encouraging members of the public who cannot attend this meeting to attend 1 or more of the three scheduled Citizens Advisory Committee Meetings where public input will also be accepted as well as the two scheduled Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors Study Sessions scheduled for January 19 and 21, 2010 (see additional information below). All presentations and comments received at the meeting will be posted to www.buttegeneralplan.net. Final preliminary approval of the Draft Butte County General Plan 2030 document will not take place until January 21, 2010. As it is often difficult for some members of the public to attend evening meetings, people are also encouraged to submit written comments on the Draft Butte County General Plan 2030 document to:

Butte County Department of Development Services
Attention: Dan Breedon, Principal Planner
7 County Center Drive, Oroville, CA 95965

Or email comments to: dbreedon@buttecounty.net

NOTE: All comments received become the property of Butte County and are considered part of the public record.
