CAC meetings are open to the
public who are encouraged to observe deliberations
and provide comment. For this meeting, the CAC will
focus on the general structure proposed for the new
Zoning Ordinance, major changes proposed to the
existing Zoning Ordinance, and the various Goals,
Policies and Actions under Butte County General Plan
2030 that support these changes.
The Citizens Advisory
Committee recommendations will help to develop a new
Zoning Ordinance that will be consistent with the
new General Plan 2030 draft, is responsive to the
needs of Butte County and its citizens, and that
will ultimately lead to the successful
implementation of Butte County General Plan 2030.
The Draft Butte County Zoning
Ordinance will be released for public review in
mid-May, and a Public Workshop is planned to take
place on June 23, 2010. Additional meetings on the
zoning ordinance are planned to take place before
the Planning Commission from July through October of
this year. Please watch for updates concerning
meeting dates, times and locations.
