Hi everyone:
Lots going on with Butte
County General Plan 2030 (GP 2030) over the next 2
months as we are getting ready for our adoption
hearings on September 29, 2010.
First, we have a NEW tool on
our website that allows you to look up your existing
and proposed General Plan designations as well as
your existing and proposed Zoning.
To access this, please visit

and click on the highlighted yellow link near the
top of our Announcements.
Second, here are some key
dates of what’s on our Agenda over the next couple
of months:
- July 27, 2010 (Tuesday at 1
pm) –
Board of Supervisors meeting to review General Plan
clean-ups and five specific requests concerning GP
2030. No other requests will be considered at this
meeting.
- July 28, 2010 (Wednesday at
5 pm) –
Public Workshop
on the new DRAFT Zoning Ordinance at the
Southside Center in Oroville from 5-8 pm).
- August 05, 2010 (Thursday at
9 am) –
First of eight workshops with the Planning
Commission to begin their detailed review of the
DRAFT Zoning Ordinance. Please review the meeting
schedule on our website to find out when your
geographic area is being discussed.
- August 24, 2010 (Tuesday at
1 pm) –
Course Correction discussion with the Board of
Supervisors where staff is seeking direction to
achieve consistency between GP 2030 and the Airport
Land Use Commission’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
Also planned for discussion and direction is the GP
2030 Action Plan.
- August 30, 2010 (Monday)
–
Publication of the Final EIR (FEIR) for GP 2030
- September 09, 2010 (Thursday
at 9 am) –
Planning Commission Hearing on GP 2030/FEIR/Action
Plan/Housing Element
- September 29, 2010
(Wednesday)
–
Adoption of Butte County General Plan 2030
